An independent oil and gas company operating in the Williston Basin needed to remove 40 frac seats from a multi-stage ball drop system.
The frac sleeves started in a horizontal 4 1/2-in. liner at 8,885 ft. (2,708 m) and continued to a total measured depth of 18,075 ft. (5,509 m). A 2 7/8-in. BHA incorporating a HydroPull™ tool, Baker mud motor and 3 3/4-in. Baker Hughes Glyphaloy™ mill was used for this job.
A total of 40 frac seats were milled in one trip with a total milling time of 10 hours.
